
Tomcsányi - Furmint 2022 (Hungary)
Dry full body white wine from Somló hill, an extinct volcano close to Balaton lake known for its basalt soils. Rich and smooth with strong minerality, salty, lively acidity and a lingering finish. Aromas of honey, salted caramel, spices, yellow fruit (pineapple, yellow apple, lemon zest), nutty notes. Amazing and cosy wine for a special moment.
Two weeks maceration on the skins then 15 months on the lees in oak barrel. Also called "Winter Wine" because it's bottled later than the others, in January/February.
